Johnson County to send out estimated tax notices

Johnson County will be sending out approximately 220,000 estimated tax notices to property owners. The notices will include information about each property’s value and current year tax estimate compared to the prior year’s taxes. The notice will include a Revenue Neutral Rate (RNR) for each taxing subdivision or authority listed as well as public hearing information if the subdivision or authority intends to exceed their RNR. It is important to note the notice is for informational purposes only. It is not a tax bill and should not be paid. A sample of the tax notice is included in your packet.
