Healthcare real estate has fared well over the past few years. Property types, such as skilled nursing assets, continue to gain traction. Throughout the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, medical office buildings have performed admirably and have now become permanent fixtures in many investors’ portfolios.
Investors continue to line up to take advantage of opportunities in the sector.
Amazon has even expanded into the space as well. The company began collaborating with Teladoc last year, and it recently acquired healthcare organization One Medical, which could indicate big moves in real estate market’s future.
In addition, life sciences employment is riding high, which is creating an even greater demand for healthcare real estate space.
All the while, healthcare real estate professionals have successfully navigated challenges in the sector, such as the implementation of new technology at properties and the overall delivery of healthcare services. These professionals have altered how spaces are used and adapted to new safety protocols, and they are well-positioned to handle whatever changes the future may bring.
In that spirit, GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum is seeking to shine a spotlight on the professionals, teams and companies that shape the healthcare real estate market and continue to drive its performance. This Influencers series installment will profile not only the pioneers who have made an impact with their individual efforts, but also groups and entire organizations that have become critical to the industry. Be it through their contributions to the industry, the vast successes they’ve racked up in completing deals and projects, or the innovations and best practices they’ve introduced to the business, these are the 2022 Influencers in Healthcare Real Estate.
